Use Templates in Automations

Use Smart Checklist Templates in Jira Automation by referring to them by their IDs 🚀

☝🏼 NOTE: You can automate both Project and Global templates via Automation for Jira.

Template IDs

Each template (Project and Global) has its own ID displayed in the template list. Use it in order to operate with Smart Checklist Template in Jira Automation ⚡️

 

To get Template ID from Issue view:

  1. Open any Issue with the Smart Checklist applied.

  2. Click on the 3-dots menu.

  3. Select Manage templates/Import from a template.

  4. Expand the template you are looking for.

  5. Template ID appears next to the template name.

 

To get template ID from Project Settings:

  1. Navigate to Project settings → Apps → Smart Checklist → Templates tab.

  2. Expand the template you are looking for.

  3. Template ID appears next to the template name.
